Corvette is Building a Monster - The 2025 ZR1

Hold onto your hats, because the 2025 Corvette ZR1 is roaring onto the scene, and it’s an absolute beast! Get ready to welcome the most powerful Corvette ever built. This powerhouse is available as both a coupe and a convertible, and it’s here to blow your mind.

Under the Hood: The Mighty LT7 Engine

At the heart of this monster is the LT6 5.5-liter naturally aspirated flat-plane crank V8 from the Corvette Z06, now turbocharged with not one but two 76mm turbochargers. Dubbed the LT7, this twin-turbo setup delivers a jaw-dropping 1,064 hp at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. It’s not just numbers on paper; this engine growls with the ferocity of a lion, thanks to electronic wastegates and other high-tech wizardry that minimize lag and maximize thrill.

America’s Most Powerful V8

Chevy isn’t just making a bold claim here. The LT7 is officially the most powerful V8 ever produced by an American auto manufacturer. Sure, it might not match the 1,817-hp of the custom Hennessey Fury V8 in the Venom F5, but it leaves the Dodge Challenger Demon 170 eating its dust, even on E85 fuel.

Speed Demon

The ZR1 is all about speed, boasting a top speed of over 215 mph and a quarter-mile time in under 10 seconds. To put that into perspective, the Z06 maxes out at 196 mph and takes 10.6 seconds to cover the same distance. That’s the difference 394 extra horsepower makes!

Built to Perform

To handle all that power, Chevy has beefed up the ZR1’s transmission with upgraded inner and outer input shafts, reinforced gears, a tweaked final drive, enhanced clutch bite, and improved oil supply management. This machine is built to handle the heat and the pressure.

Aerodynamic Mastery

Chevy offers both low-drag and high-downforce variants of the ZR1. The standard model features a sleek spoiler with adjustable wickers, a carbon fiber front splitter, side intakes, and front underwing elements. The vented hood acts like an S-duct, channeling air through the front grille and out through the hood to boost front axle downforce and cool essential components. Plus, unique intake ducts feed the turbos, while side intakes keep the rear brakes cool. Want more aggression? You got it!

Iconic Split-Window Design

In a nod to its storied past, the 2025 ZR1 brings back the legendary split-window design from the 1963 C2-generation Corvette. This feature, which doubles as a heat extractor, can be configured with either an exposed carbon fiber spine or a body-colored element between the rear windows. It’s a blast from the past with a futuristic twist.

Light and Fast

Both coupe and convertible versions come with a carbon fiber roof, and you can opt for ZR1-exclusive carbon fiber wheels to reduce unsprung mass. Prefer aluminum wheels? No problem! They come in a unique design with four stunning finishes, including the eye-catching Edge Blue.

Interior Excellence

Step inside, and you’ll find unique sill plates, an interior plaque, and a ZR1-branded steering wheel. The 3LZ trim introduces a new stitch pattern and a boost gauge. As for colors, the 2025 Corvette is available in Competition Yellow, Hysteria Purple (which looks more like a dark blue), and Sebring Orange. Inside, you can choose the fiery new Habanero interior option or go with blue stitching. Racing stripes, brake caliper colors, and seatbelt options will be revealed later.

Pricing and Availability

Chevy is keeping the pricing under wraps for now, but all the details will be finalized closer to the production start in 2025. Get ready to rev your engines and join the sub-10-second quarter-mile club with the all-new Corvette ZR1!

We are super excited to get one of these in the club in the future!
